Seeking 4 young European filmmakers in the Europa Cinemas network

After 12 years of workshops in Europe, 30 shorts made in 20 countries, after Gdansk (Poland), Miskolc (Hungary), Salamanca (Spanish), Srebrenica (Bosnia), Sarajevo (Bosnia), New York (USA) & Belfast (UK), the new Borders workshop will be held in Sarajevo from 9 to 17 July.

We will open a new door in working on the relationship between Internet and cinema, through the concept of web series, combining production, diffusion and educational activities.

15 young Europeans, supervised by a European director, will write, shoot and edit a musical about twenty minutes.

4 places are open to young Europa Cinemas viewers (maximum one place per Europa Cinemas member).

Entry requirements:

 - The participants must speak English

- They must be at least 18 years old

- The participants have to take in charge their travel costs to Sarajevo and one meal by day

- Participants agree between November 2016 and March 2017 to organize a special screening with both the film directed in Sarajevo and a feature film of the director who led the workshop.

Atelier Borders – Sarajevo – du 9 au 17 juillet 2016

A la recherche de 4 jeunes apprentis cinéastes européens dans le réseau Europa Cinemas

Après 12 ans d’ateliers en Europe, 30 courts réalisés dans 20 pays différents, après Gdansk (Poland), Miskolc (Hungary), Salamanca (Spanish), Srebrenica (Bosnia), Sarajevo (Bosnia), New-York (USA), Belfast (UK), le nouvel atelier Borders aura lieu à Sarajevo du 9 au 17 juillet.

Nous ouvrirons une nouvelle porte en travaillant sur le lien entre Internet et le cinéma, via le concept de série web, en combinant production, diffusion et action éducative.

15 jeunes européens, encadrés par un réalisateur européen, écrirons, tournerons et monterons une comédie musicale d’une vingtaine de minutes.

4 places sont ouvertes à de jeunes spectateurs de salles Europa Cinemas (une place maximum par salle).

Conditions de participation:

-          Les jeunes réalisateurs doivent parler anglais

-          Ils doivent avoir au moins 18 ans

-          Les frais de déplacement ainsi qu’un repas par jour seront à la charge des participants

-          Les participants s’engagent, entre novembre 2016 et mars 2017, à organiser une séance spéciale présentant à la fois le film réalisé à Sarajevo et un long métrage du réalisateur ayant mené l’atelier.
