Dimanche 11, lundi 12 et mardi 13 janvier, les stagiaires sont passés à l'action en rentrant pratiquement dans les mécanismes de la fabrication d'une image et en intégrant une industrie du cinéma qui a une longue histoire. Les travaux dirigés ont donc été agrémentés d'une découverte culturelle de l'histoire du cinéma à travers ses évolutions technologiques et d'une sensibilisation au contexte économique de l'industrie du cinéma notamment les conditions de production d'un long métrage ainsi que les stratégies de sa présentation au public en 2014. Puis, en partant de l'analyse du film Alien de Ridley Scott, les stagiaires ont été mis en situation de susciter une émotion en un plan fixe sur pied, en travaillant particulièrement sur les correspondances champ / hors champ, afin de commencer à lier une intention à une forme, à un cadrage et à une mise en scène. Ce plan 1 est devenu la base d'une pédagogie du cinéma inversée puisqu'en partant d'un plan les stagiaires vont "sculpter" en quelque sorte une séquence pour préciser une action avec une intention forte, donc en choisissant un point de vue.
